So, what are age spots?before_after_pigmentation_IPL

These are the darker spots seen in adults, commonly over the age of 30, frequently on the face, decolletage, back of the hands and forearms. While age spots appear generally on sun-exposed skin (more so in people who have a genetic tendency to develop them), age spots are commonly seen on the skins of older adults with a history of sun exposure.

At Lady At Bay we have a number of highly effective treatments to rejuvenate and lighten those areas affected by freckles and age spots... and they're all quick, simple and affordable.

IPL Laser Treatments are among the most effective and economical treatments available today for removing freckles and age spots and you'll get visible improvements after only 1 treatment.

Age spots prevention is more effective than age spots removal. However, at Lady At Bay we have several effective treatments available.

What treatments do you have for age spots removal?

Age spots can easily recur with repeated UV exposure, so we suggest after treatment you change your lifestyle to avoid sun exposure.

Treatments are very cost effective and affordable and you WILL see an improvement after your first treatment. We guarantee it.

What are freckles?

Freckles are small, flat, tanned and circular spots, which are randomly located on cheeks, nose, arms, upper shoulders and legs, especially after repeated exposure to sunlight. People with blond or red hair, light-coloured eyes and fair skin are especially susceptible to the damaging effect of UV rays.

Freckles are usually slightly darker than the surrounding skin and after sun exposure they will become darker and more apparent and lighten in the winter months. However, freckles are nothing more than the heavy depositing of melanin in one spot in the skin.

Can freckles be prevented?

Fair-skinned people who are more prone to freckling and sunburns are also generally more at risk for developing skin cancers. Freckles may be a warning sign of sensitive skin that is highly vulnerable to sunburn and to potential skin cancer.

Most sun and UV skin damage occurs during childhood under the age 18!

Always observe the following:

  1. Avoid being in the sun without sun-protection.
  2. Use a sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of 30+
  3. Wear wide-brimmed hats (6 inches)
  4. Wear sun-protective clothing (shirts, long sleeves, long pants)
  5. Avoid exposure to the sun during the peak hours of 10 am to 4 pm
